Necromunda Flora - recycling Bleakspur
A few years back the very talented Hobbyist Nicklas Pihlström gifted me His wonderful Magos model, a fantstic coversionin the old inq28 style with Laputa influences. the model became the focus point of the bleakspur game https://distopus.blogspot.com/2021/07/bleakspur-game-part-1.html?m=0, a renegade Magi and his associates provide by the stupendously talented and prolific bjarnidali attempting to re-seed Necromunda with bio diverse flora, needsless to say the inquisition put a stop to all that nonesense ... or did they. !
As a thank you i sent a mini diorama to him inspired by his bronze age desert skeletons. i made a tzeentch Greek hopilite type dude surronded by fallen collumns , unfortunatley like oddysseus , the model was lost in the aether storms of the postal system.
I have felt pretty bad about that ever since, but yesterday i got a second chance to repay a kindness, Nickllas as generous as he is as offered to send me some of his wonderful mutants, to take home on my newest terrainproject , the sunken city.
In return i have made a mini pices of terrain , recyckeyed from Bleakspur and covered in flora, the magi was successfull after all :)
the ppiuece i recycled was kinda lost on bleakspur at the back and covered up by bigger buildings.. which i felt was a shame as it was anice piece ,
I do absolutely love the Laputa vibe! Easily my favourite Ghibli film ever since I saw the original Tokuma Shoten dub back in the 80's!
ReplyDeleteyeah laputa is sublime. Dont think i have ever seen the original dub though. , might put it on the list. that movie and Time masters were so cool and different.
DeleteI'll wish you the best of luck as the Tokuma Shoten dub is now extremely hard to find. I only have my copy on VHS that was recorded from the TV when Laputa was broadcasted live back in the mid-80's.
DeleteTime Masters is unfamiliar, so I'll have to look it up! Is it anything like Metropolis? Thats a beautiful anime film too!
